Leo Burnett Named Network of the Year at ADFEST 2013

(Pattaya: 21 March 2013) Leo Burnett has been named “Network of the Year” at ADFEST 2013, leading Asia Pacific advertising festival that was held in Pattaya earlier this week. With its awards haul totaling 44 including 1 Grande Lotus in Press, 1 Effective Lotus, 1 Grande for Humanity, 4 Gold, 14 Silver, 23 Bronze and 32 Finalists, Leo Burnett knocked out its competition by a large margin to claim the festival’s most coveted award. At the same event, Leo Burnett Melbourne was also named the “Direct & Promo Agency of the Year”. In addition to that, Diageo Australia was named “Advertiser of the Year” on the back of Leo Burnett Sydney’s work for the brand.

A total of 13 offices including Melbourne, Sydney, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Colombo, Mumbai, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taipei, Beirut and Dubai contributed to this achievement. With nominations and wins across all categories, the accolade once again demonstrated the depth and breadth of the network’s creativity prowess that exist across its offices.

"Being recognised by ADFEST as the most creative network in Asia Pacific is a wonderful recognition that is made possible by the collective hard work of each and every Burnetter across the region, I couldn’t be more proud. As one of the fastest growing networks in Asia Pacific, we believe that creativity has a direct correlation with business success. Winning Network of the Year at ADFEST this year and being crowned Creative Network of the Year in Asia Pacific by The Gunn Report last year are testaments to this belief," said Jarek Ziebinski, President, Leo Burnett Asia Pacific.

Founded in 1988, ADFEST is an annual advertising festival celebrating and raising the standard of creativity. For the first time this year, ADFEST will also accept entries from the Middle East to further embrace the cultural diversity and richness in Asia. ADFEST is a platform designed not only to promote and recognize creative excellence, but also provides a unique learning opportunity for participants through seeing the best works, listening to inspiring speakers, and exchanging ideas. ADFEST embraces and celebrates local culture and heritage. With the rich history of heritage and legacy, ADFEST aims for the recognition and preservation of such local value. In 2013, the new theme for ADFEST will be “Connect the Dots”, which aims to link and converge strategic knowledge, tools and experiences with creative innovation and ideas into one massive three-day creative festival that will help you think, connect and socialise with over 1,000 creative people to prepare for the demands of today’s marketing communications challenges.
